The Goddess of Nonsense
--We watched an episode of "Subway Girl" where she uses "God Gave Rock & Roll To Ya" as background, and Z found the true meaning of the song, through the haze of gangia smoke in the room, and shared her interpretation with the Doody Club.

--We begin prank phone calls. (I have a bad feeling. I still have a bad feeling. I really hate my life.)

  • Call #1 -- **** (Nameless, due to my personal plea of the Fifth Amendment)
  • Call #2 -- Rental car in South Carolina, to rent a sports car...snatches of dialogue were: "Do you have a Batmobile?" "Do you still have both breasts?"
  • Call #3 -- (Oh, I have another baaaaad feeling...) No answer, safe again - *whew*
  • Call #4 -- "I'm calling from a tree phone!" "I'm calling all the way from Africa!" "Is Octopussy there?"
  • Call #5 -- Mo belches, Z sings, Z impersonates Marge Simpson while Szvie does Homer. A reference to bird doody is made.
  • Call #6 -- (Answering machine) I mention how answering machines are cool because they're a captive audience.
  • Call #7 -- Some Unnamed Female who has been reportedly stalking one of Z's ex's... dialogue overheard included: "he's a player!" "Anything to get this fuckin' bastard outta my stomach." (Conan blared in the background) "Dad! Get off the phone!" "I'm sorry, my dad is so disgusting..." Szvie - "I got your name from a drug dealer! And I'm going to stick a needle in yer ver-gina!" "I saw your ass on a milk carton, missing!" --Jackie and Joel left

--nominees for Best Movie of '98 were tossed around:

    • Slums of Beverly Hills
    • Something About Mary
    • Saving Private Ryan (Or, as I like to call it, "Saving Ryan's Privates")
    • Pecker (which I've never heard of, personally...
--The winner is declared to be Austin Powers - because it was so damn good it doesn't matter it came out in '97.

--We discuss what movie to watch, and decide on Cheech & Chong's "Up in Smoke", which Z and I declare, in stereo, has the ultimate soundtrack, and which I just can't seem to locate a copy of, despite checking every single record/cd shop in the entire Village.
